Joseph Francis Campbell, Jr. of Horsham, Pennsylvania passed away on February 5, 2016 surrounded by his family at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 80 years old. Joe was born October 19, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph Francis Campbell and the late Mary Campbell (nee - Kleir). He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret Dickinson Campbell; children Joseph and his wife Denise, Mary Peg, Suzanne Devlin and her husband Chris, Amy Lorenzo and her husband Steven; eight grandchildren Laura, Sydney, and Christine Campbell, Christopher, Colin, and Kevin Devlin and Stephen and Gabriella Lorenzo; sister Sally Osbourne and her husband Jim and brother Don Campbell and his wife Fran.
Joe was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He grew up in the West Oak Lane section of the city and graduated from his beloved St. Joseph's Prep and St. Joseph's University. Following their engagement on the night of a tornado, Joe married Peg on January 21, 1961, the day after an epic snowstorm, at St. Rose of Lima Parish in North Wales, PA. The two raised their family in Oreland, PA, Springfield Township. Joe was the consummate salesman and worked for Eberhard Faber and then as an independent sales representative always in the office supply business that he enjoyed so much. His love for the game of golf was unprecedented and he was a long time member of Sandy Run Country Club. He also volunteered for Aid For Friends delivering meals to the homebound. His outlook was eternally optimistic, and his cup was never half empty, always half full. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
