The family has lovingly composed the following:
Keith Edward “Butter” Burns was born December 16, 1971 in Philadelphia, PA to Sheila E. Burns and the late Keith Allen Burns. Keith/Butter attended St. Benedict’s Parochial School and the Youth Forestry Camp where his overall grade point average was 93%. He also attended Saul W. B. Agricultural School.
Keith/Butter loved his long time companion, Shannon Wayns, and they were blessed with his only daughter, Tanaya Burns. Three years ago, he became a grandfather to his most precious gift, Royal Burns. Keith/Butter absolutely adored Royal and spent a lot of quality time with him.
Throughout his adult years, Keith/Butter experienced too many “downs” and, at times, lost his way, but his heart was kind and recently he was trying very hard to get well and make a better life for himself. Sadly, he was taken from us on April 27, 2018, but the memories of the good times experienced with loved ones and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who truly loved him.
Keith/Butter will be missed by his long time companion, Shannon, his daughter, Tanaya, and his grandson, Royal. His spirit will also remain a part of his Mother, Sheila, as well as his big sister, Tami Ezell, and his brothers Michael Allen Burns, Malik Smith, Saeed Smith, Shaheed Smith and William Keion Carpenter. He will also be remembered by his uncle and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Hopefully, Keith/Butter is now at peace with his Dad and his brother, Quieten Alston.
