The following obituary was composed by Nancy’s family:
Nancy M. Ladley (Muehlman) was called home to our Lord on November 5, 2025. Nan was born and raised in Jenkintown, PA. She was 87 years young. She is survived by her brother, Paul Austin (Nancy), her daughter, Caroline Ladley-Ratka (David), her 3 granddaughters, Vanessa, Michelle (Shawn) and Lauren. Nan was also blessed to have 4 great-grandchildren, Michael, Mariah, Abigail and Isaiah.
Nan loved movies. Ranging from westerns with John Wayne to the Sound of Music. But her all-time favorite movie was "Field of Dreams" with Kevin Costner. Nan lived by the saying 'When a defining moment comes along, you define the moment, or the moment defines you'. Nan had hands of gold. She was an exceptional self-taught seamstress. She made handmade crocheted dresses, blankets, hats/scarfs and Christmas costumes. She had every color of yarn ever made. She had a love for her ceramic Christmas Village that stayed up until Easter, every year. Nan had the greatest love for LBI and the seashore. She dreamt every night of her younger years being on the beach. But her all-time favorite thing to do was sit in her rocking chair, with her granddaughters and eventually her great-grandchildren singing her favorite song...'I love you, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck'. For those who knew Nan, knew she enjoyed helping out at our church every Sunday with the Nursery School Program during Sunday worship.
A memorial service will held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The service will be at Jenkintown United Methodist Church, 328 Summit Ave and Walnut Street Jenkintown, PA 19046.
