Robert “Bob” Michael Forlenza of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, while in hospice care.

Born on February 16, 1954, in New Hyde Park Village, Long Island, New York, Bob was the youngest son of Edith and Gerald Forlenza. Bob was the beloved husband of Michelle Forlenza, with whom he shared 41 wonderful years of marriage.

A graduate of SUNY Cortland, Bob served as treasurer of the Student Activity Board and developed a lifelong love of music, the arts, and science. He always spoke fondly of his time spent at 102 Main Street during his college years. After graduating, Bob moved to California, where he met the love of his life, Michelle, and began building their family together.

Later returning east, Bob and the Forlenza family began a long-standing tradition of vacationing in the Adirondack Mountains with close family friends, the Vollenweiders. Those mornings spent on the lake with a fishing rod in hand were among Bob’s happiest moments. He shared that love of fishing with both of his children and even purchased his oldest granddaughter her first fishing pole, eager to become her first casting instructor.

Bob eventually settled in Pennsylvania, where he joined Fairmount Automation, a Department of Defense contractor, working as their operations manager. Bob took immense pride in the role he played within the company and deeply valued the relationships he built with the men and women he worked alongside during his 16 years there before retiring in 2020.

Bob will be remembered for his infectious laughter, dry and perfectly timed sarcastic humor, and one-liners that never missed their mark. His home was always open and welcoming to anyone who entered, and he had a gift for offering kind words and quiet wisdom to the young people in his life. Bob also shared his deep love of music—especially The Beatles—with his children, creating memories and traditions that will live on for generations.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Forlenza.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; his son, Matthew; his daughter, Lorien (son-in-law Alexander); his cherished granddaughters, Annawynn and Alora; his older brother, Donald; and his older sister, Jerilyn.

In his later years, Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, and doting on his beloved grand-dog, Stella.

Bob’s laughter, wisdom, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and in the family, music, and traditions he cherished so deeply. As the song says, "In my life, I love you more."
